A new year calls for a new look. Lol. I know, so I've only put up a handful of posts since I made my second debut to blogger, but just when I thought I would have time to post something meaningful and frequent, I got myself a new boss. And you know what that means - it means a different style of management - so from a boss who cruised in to work whenever he felt like it, slept half the time in his office because he was hungover but and didn't give a damn what we did and how we did it, as long as we GOT THE WORK DONE, he was cool with that. He was a mean taskmaster when he had to be, but I've learned that if you want to further yourself in your career, its the taskmasters who are your best teachers. My new boss - let's just say she likes to know what we're doing at all times, bombards my inbox on a daily basis with work (when I have a gazillion other things to do) and spends half the time in town doing god knows what with god knows whom! Oh well, such is life and I will eventually become accustomed to it and if I don't, well that means time to move on and look for a new job. If there's one thing i've learned, it's if you're not happy where you're at, it's time to move on out. There's no point in staying where you are and being forever resentful.
So although I am up to my arse in work, I need to bitch. And since my boss has her blackberry permanently attached to ear, I'm sure she won't have time to go on the internet and accidentally discover my little rant-avenue.
However, to ease my frustration, I found a new chocolate cake recipe I'm going to try when I get home :) Just thinking about it calms my nerves immensely.
